SAILING TO GREENLAND AND NO WIND
Hello Peter, I am the happy owner of a OVNI 385 equipped with your Windpilot,
so far I am very happy with that team. but this summer I sailed to Greenland and I had a failure with the hydraulic pilot (some days there is no wind ! we had to steer during several days!!! so I really need a backup for this electric/hydraulic pilot. is it possible to use the wind-pilot as a backup ? Thanks for your advice

ABOUT OUR QUIET HELMSMAN AND RELIABLE WORK HORSE
Hi Peter, As for the steering, we were really happy with how it turned out to work on the Ovni from the day we started using it and still is. Easy to fit, easy to use and has been completely reliable all these years since you sent it down to us when we stayed in Italy. Having said that, I knew what I was getting as we had the same but older model on our previous yacht as well, which was a long keeled Fantasi 37. Quite frankly, I have never used better. Our quiet helmsman and reliable work horse. Lastly, thanks a lot for very good service with valuable advice from you when we started using it.

20 YEARS OF SATISFACTION WITH WINDPILOT

Dear Peter,
I have now sailed thousands of miles with my windpilot pacific since I aquired one in 2004 and are extremely happy. But I have a problem, I have lost, or cannot find, the chain used in the holder pictured. Can I order It from you, or is this a standard chain I can just buy in a boatshop?

After our most recent passages we just wanted to send a mail to you with a massive thank you for both all your support in getting our windpilot working and for creating such an amazing steering system.

After lots of ‚playing‘ with the pilot we have finally got to grips with how it works and have had 600 miles of the most ideal sailing
with it. When the pilot is deployed the motion of the boat feels much less frenetic than under autopilot, there is no power use and as it uses a different quadrant from our autopilots we have another level of redundancy.

I cannot express just how impressed we are with how it works and how Ruffian feels.

BIANCA 27 – MIT VIER PFOTEN UNTERWEGS
Hallo Peter! hab´ gerade dein Buch gelesen und wollte mich noch einmal dafür bedanken. Tolle, unglaubliche und sehr ärgerliche Erlebnisse – hatte es in zwei Tagen durch.
Dümple gerade mit meiner Bianca in Portocolom und warte auf das richtige Wetter für Menorca (weiß ja gerade nicht so was es will)
Jedenfalls weiß ich jetzt was ich nicht will: die Bianca verkaufen. Sie bleibt, aber die Badtür muss raus – ein neues Winterprojekt!
